Meetings & Training
Meetings are scheduled in collaboration with the CA Behavioral Health Planning Council ("Planning Council") so that folks can attend the Friday morning Planning Council General Session if they choose. There are often good speakers, and the Planning Council wants to hear from local MH/BH boards & commissions! Note: The Planning Council does not meet in the Superior Region. CALBHB/C will notify Superior Region boards/commissions of upcoming CALBHB/C meetings.
Our own CALBHB/C meeting is on Friday afternoons at 1:00pm with speakers specific to board/commission issues and discussion regarding local mental/behavioral health issues and successes. Travel expenses related to CALBHB/C meetings are reimbursed for one member per local mental/behavioral health board/commission in the region by CALBHB/C. Expense Reimbursement Policy. Additional members can be reimbursed in the case of boards/commissions with CALBHB/C Governing Board Members.
Mental/Behavioral Health Board training is coordinated through CA Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS). Training registration and training-related expense reimbursement is facilitated by CIBHS. Training is offered in the same location on the Saturday following the Friday CALBHB/C meeting.
